Lists by Subjects

The ULB Düsseldorf participates in the Datenbank-Infosystem (DBIS; database information system). Several thousand databases are listed in DBIS and most of them are freely accessible on the Internet. In addition, the ULB Düsseldorf holds licenses for several hundred databases which are usually among the top-ranked databases for the respective field of study. The Lists by Subjects are a good point to start from.

SFX Link Service

With the SFX Link Service we offer you a new and quick way to get from your literature search to the respective documents. So far, when you were doing database searches for literature, you got results lists with quotations from the works. Then, in a second step, you had to search in a catalogue to find out where and how to obtain copies of the required material. In the SFX Link Service, we have now combined these two steps.

National Licenses

By funding National Licenses, the Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG; German Research Foundation) enables access to databases, electronic text collections and online periodicals archives in the fields of cultural, social and political sciences as well as law from anywhere in Germany.

You Know the Quote? Our Citation Linker

If you already have a quotation from a certain text, a search via the Citation Linker could be a good option. This way you won’t have to consult catalogues or databases first. Whether you need an article or a book: You can directly enter bibliographical information to find out if the work in question is available as a digitized full text.
